Assay Description

Bru-Seq is a technique to detect spans of nascent transcription in the genome. Nascent RNA is labeled by a pulse of Bromouridine (BrU) and specifically captured using anti-BrdU antibodies. cDNA libraries are produced from the isolated Bru-RNA and sequenced. Sequences are aligned and analyzed to assess timing and level of transcription.
