Retroviral infection with MigR-1 vector containing a looping factor. The looping factor consists of a synthetic transcription factor that binds to the Hbb-b1 promoter and expresses an LDB1 dimerization domain. This can dimerize with a native LDB1 protein bound to the Hbb-b1 enhancer, creating a loop between enhancer and promoter.
