definition
RUES2 is a Human female embryonic stem cell provided by The Rockefeller University - Dr. Ali Brivanlou and derived from a de-identified frozen embryo that was originally generated for reproductive purposes and later donated with informed consent for research purposes. The Provider does not have any information that could be used to identify the embryo and/or gamete donors. RUES2 cells are pluripotent and can differentiate to representatives of the three primary germ layers. Pub Med Abstract Lacoste, A et al. An Efficient and Reversable Transposable System for Gene Delivery and Lineage-Specific Differentiation in Human Embryonic Stem Cells. Cell Stem Cell 5.3 (2009) 332-342
